I agree with much of that. I do see all good things as coming from our Maker’s grace. So, luck to me is not a random event.
I think the hard work and detours are part of God’s plan to make us whole. If we can’t neutralize the grumpiness of old age with compassion, humility, and graciousness, I think we create distance between ourselves and God, as well as, our family and friends. I don’t think anyone wants a lonely old age.
May God grant each of us direction and a willingness to change.
