Thanksgiving 2017

A little early, but why not?

Pilgrim on a Long, Long Journey

It was 1977. In January and February I was alone in Baltimore. In March of 1977 I met Kristine at an open house at her art school.

Six months later we were engaged and 9 months later we were married. The number 7 reared its beautiful head 36 years later when Lucas, our second grandson was born. We were now a family of 7.

I am so thankful and look forward to Thanksgiving on this our 40th year together.

So, Relax a Bit?

“My personal hobbies are reading, listening to music and silence.” (Edith Sitwell, a 20th Century British poet and critic). Could be a 21st century ode for the pandemic.

Regardless of earth’s threats, engaging writing can get you through a lot. Music can still nerve cells all over your brain to calm you deeply. Music can charge up those neurons to get you dancing. Silence is something we all seek. Don’t we? For me, it is achieved in the hands of God.

Relief, relief, relief.
