Pilgrim on a Long, Long Journey
It was about 1980. I worked for a large lab as a director. They needed an advertising picture with a doc holding a stethoscope.
As one of the few physicians in the company, I was picked as they thought I might know how to hold a stethoscope. To this day, I am still not sure what that meant since no one ever taught me how to hold a stethoscope. Shake a hand, knot a tie, yes. Hold a stethoscope, no.
They needed a jet black background for the picture. So, there was a black screen behind me. Now understand, I am 100 % Ashkenazi Jew. On the paternal side my grandparents were cousins. Small gene pool, right? Both my mom and dad before they grayed had jet black hair.
