A Venture into Fiction

“Every great work of art… is a celebration, an act of insubordination against the betrayals, horrors, and infidelities of life.” Nafisi, an Iranian writer.

If I put aside the adjective great, I can relate to my first venture into writing a fiction novelette. There is infidelity, betrayal, horror in the murder mystery. On the other hand there is a beautiful love story separate and apart from the darker events.

The work alternates the two stories where the medical examiner in the homicide case is enveloped in a budding romance. The writing itself was pure joy that was completely unexpected. I felt truly blessed.
