The Big and the Small Picture

We appear to be far from understanding the multitude of processes within the tiny human cell. Take only the pulmonary cell. I was a student 50 years ago. Scientists were unaware of the metabolism since discovered in the cells of the lung. The current pace of medical understanding far exceeds the pace when I was a student. It’s a different world.

We have a new telescope in outer space. Per space.com, “While James Webb Space Telescope engineers continue aligning the observatory’s segmented golden mirror, scientists are looking ahead to the research the telescope will begin conducting this summer. Overall, the observations will range from our solar system to the very earliest days of the universe.”

We keep on discovering what we did not know. The discoveries remind us of how little we know. The complexity reminds me how likely it is, that, matter and life were designed.
