I guess that is the big question when you write. I have stopped reading several well-regarded books, unwilling to turn the page. I just was not engaged.
Those of us who write blogs, memoirs, and book-length fiction don’t know if you will turn that page or not. Those 21st-century attention spans are not what they could be.
The future of a written work? All of us know stories of books rejected by many publishers that became huge critical and financial successes. Millions of page-turners from every curve of the earth showed up. You just don’t know.
