The Rhythm of My Last Nine Years

On 1/31/23, I was nine years into my retirement from a long career in healthcare. That moment I left the office for the last time is indelibly engraved in my memory.

It seems like I just closed that door. Didn’t I? Those years have blown by akin to the latest of the hypersonic missiles.

God has granted me the privilege of moving past the average, earthly lifespan of an American man in 2023. As to my life here, I am reminded of Gershwin’s phrase, “Who can ask for anything more?”
